Today I made the treacherous snowy trip into New York City to be the Anderson Live blogger of the day. Despite the weather, the crowd and staff were upbeat and energetic. The show got started with some freakishly awesome dance moves put on by audience members vying for a teeshirt.

When Anderson and Jackee Harris came out, we were ready to roll.

Can I just say – Jackee is hilarious. She is classy, funny, gorgeous, and has that easy demeanor I (as a boring white person) envy tremendously. Her outfit was smoking hot, and we all laughed hysterically as she did her “weather woman" act in the first fifteen. She certainly showed up any weather person I watch regularly on the local news. I think she probably delivered a more accurate forecast than the goons did for this snowstorm today.

#andersonliveblogger The fastest adoption story ever. Holy cow. Good for the judge to move that along!

The fastest adoption ever

Next up, Anderson took a few digs at the Bieb-meister, who was transported to a hospital after fainting on stage. His Twitter hospital pic gave him away. It was sort of GQ meets Entertainment Weekly in the ER.

My favorite segment of the show came up at the end of the first fifteen. It was a follow up to the man who found an abandoned baby in the ACE subway station back in 2000. When he and his partner went to testify in court about the event, the judge looked at him and said, “Would you like to adopt him?”

The story is unusual, as most adoptions are months and months of red tape and bureaucracy. This judge wasn’t having it. Within two weeks, the baby was placed in Danny’s home and they’ve been a family ever since. The news needs more of these stories so kudos to Anderson & Co. for showcasing it.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Following the first fifteen, Anderson took us into the mind and life of someone with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. This debilitating disease isolates people from relationships and renders them incapable of holding down a job or interacting with society. The woman who appeared on the show could not even hug her mother because of fear of contamination.

Dr. Bradley Riemann was on the show and explained that while it is the 4thmost common mental illness in America, it is treatable. How do you know if your rituals are moving into OCD?

"When it starts to interfere with your life," the doc says.

I wonder if there's a treatment center for compulsive bloggers?

Kathryn Heigl

She's the most glamorous chicken farmer I've ever met.

Decked out in a white dress, she casually talked to Anderson about her new life in Utah. It seems rural family life suits her well. Except for the "lack of restaurants" in the boonies, she is basking in the roles of mother, wife, and ranch home builder.

I wonder if the days of scrubs and trauma feel like a distant memory to her?

Kathryn isn't just about acting. She highlighted her "Just One" charity as well- in hopes of bringing awareness about the need to spay and neuter your animals. The charity is dedicated to her brother Jason Debus Heigl. She's a class act celebrity with a ton of down to earth swag.

She even showed us her "Assassin" looking photo ID picture. Best not to take yourself too seriously.

Always a riot - from start to finish

This is my third time as Blogger of the day and I have to say- if you haven't taken a trip to NYC to be a part of the live studio audience, you need to get up on it! Anderson LIVE is wrapping up its final season and you wouldn't want to miss:

  1. Watching Anderson mess up his post-tape promos
  2. Partaking in the dirty dancing contests that win you a coveted Anderson LIVE tee-shirt
  3. Laughing hysterically at comedian One Funny Mother as she warms up the crowd.
  4. The litany of crazy YouTube videos that Anderson and his staff seem to uncover.
  5. The quirky gifts that awed guests bestow on Anderson. He's always so gracious - even when it's a bedazzled doggie dress for his pup Molly.
  6. The fantastic guests, cohosts, and celebrities.

Always a pleasure. Let this be a note - if AC 360 opens a blogging position, I'm your gal.
