Happy Anniversary Poems
Poetry for one, two, or twenty years of marriage
Sometimes, you want a quick poem you can read aloud at an anniversary party, write down in a card, or post on a post-it in the bathroom. You want something a bit more personal than a hallmark card, but not so artsy that you cannot pull it off as your own! As the author of these poems, I am happy for people to use these writings if it'll help you in your scramble to make your anniversary more memorable.
Use freely, liberally, and share- BUT only on handwritten cards and notes.

Happy anniversary!
For your first anniversary...
We made it! we made it!
Jump for joy!
365 days enjoyed
The first year of marriage a secret joke
"All sex and fun!" The movies provoke
We know better now that isn't the truth
Year one is not for horny youth
But it has been a precious year
Of learning and loving the new frontier
Cheers to us on this day, a milestone of sorts
Nothing but A's on our yearly report!
When your marriage is on the rocks...
The day I said “I do”
I could not see the view
The future held only bright days
In my love struck dazy haze
But as the years have gone right on
Harder times have come and gone
I realize now the vow I spoke
Means more in the wake of what is broke
We have not always kept the faith
But today my vow to you is safe
For this anniversary I say with zeal
You are mine, I am yours, and we will heal
I am committed to you with great resolve
To see our never-ending love evolve
For a golden anniversary...
Time flies when you are having fun
Every year it seems gets outdone
By the one before, with all its glow
Love swishes and threatens to overflow
My heart can't hold the depth of my love
For you my friend, my partner, my dove
A symbol of peace and fresh purity
Getting better with age and maturity
I treasure each moment that we have remaining
In hopes that someday soon we'll be attaining
That reward of a marriage that's lasted for decades
A pillar of memories that never fades
Through the darkest of storms
The hardships and mourns
We have stood through it all
and now bear the fruit of the call
To love each other no matter what may
You plus me, a marriage ballet
